Huntington Park High School Classes of 1968 & 1969, Huntington Park, CA
You know that a reunion is successful when not only the classmates enthusiastically state that they had a great time, but their guest do as well. The Reunion Committee did an outstanding job of preparing for the Huntington Park High School 1968-69 reunion by obtaining as many addresses as possible, making the arrangements with the venue (Kellogg Conference Center, Cal Poly Pomona, Pomona, CA), and setting up the table arrangements and registration tables. The photographers were discreet and professional, the DJ was engaging and brought back memories of the sounds from the 60s and early 70s (as well as some salsa in between), and the suggestions for the categories and gifts for the door prizes worked out perfectly. Although the music seemed to some a little too loud, the venue had a wonderful balcony (where the bar was located) and classmates just found their way out to beautiful evening views of the San Gabriel valley and mountains where they could continue their conversations. Many stayed overnight at the Kellogg Conference Center and continued their reminiscing about old times and the reunion the next morning at breakfast, and, the raves have continued on Facebook. Thank you Liz, Shelli, Katie and the entire Reunion Committee family for making our 50 year reunion a memorable one.
